Today the Moscow Suburb is home to all the merchants and customers’ dream – the Central Market of Riga. The 21-storied Academy of Sciences is situated just next to it. It was the first high rise building in Latvia, originally planned as a Collective farmers’ house for the purpose of glorifying the Soviet government. During this tour our guides will help you understand the cultural history of Russians and Jews. You will have the opportunity to visit churches of various denomination. A tour through Riga Central Market – the largest market in the Baltic States – and one of the biggest outdoor markets in Europe. It’s pavilions, former German Zeppelin hangars, have been a striking landmark of the city since 1920s.
