In the middle of the XIX century it was the main manufacturer of quality writing paper throughout the Russian Empire. At present, the ancient paper mill entrusts its memory stories only to tourists. Stop in the center of Ligatne and set off on a hike. Enjoy the view of the cliffs from the opposite bank of the fairy tale Ligatne River. Climb the observation deck equipped above the cliff. Stop at the Nuclear shelter built in Soviet times. Above this strategic secret object, a rehabilitation center was built and is still operating today.
